Thankful for Family Photo Sessions

A while ago, a nice lady contacted me and asked me to take family photos for her.  We went ahead and scheduled a day, and everyone was looking forward to it!  Unfortunately, a health complication forced us to reschedule.  We found today, Thanksgiving, to fit the shoot in! 

It was a fun way to spend the holiday morning!  They are a beautiful family too!  Here are some highlights of Zain and Maira, the little ones of the group!

Justin & Melinda :: Engaged!

    Justin and Melinda tell a story not too many engaged couples tell . . . one that begins online!  After making the original online connection, these two were inseparable!  Well, without seeing each other in person, that is.  For a few weeks they talked nonstop using the venues technology provides!  Then, they decided it was time to meet.  It was at the very place that they met for the first time about 7 months ago that Justin popped the question! 

I had a good time taking pictures of these two!  I especially enjoyed hearing their story, because I met my wonderful boyfriend online!

Dan and Courtney :: Engaged!

Courtney and Dan have known each other five years.  They sat together in class during their senior year of high school, but Courtney confessed Dan seemed a little "weird."  It wasn't until after high school that they fell for each other!  Now, about a week after his proposal, you can see just how happy they are to be together!

I had a lot of fun getting to meet these two and hang out with them for a while!  I wish you two a beautiful wedding and many, many happy years together!

Family Portraits on Main Street

I got to shoot a fun photo session today in downtown St. Charles.  Brandie, Kurt, and little Ashton were a really nice family and so photogenic!  To top it off, the weather was basically perfect!

This is the guy responsible for the event.  He is just turning one, and the pictures were to commemorate his milestone! 

 

I don't know about you, but I think he is just about as cute as little boys come!

I also loved the setting.  Main Street was quite scenic and had lots of cool little photo spots. 

It was a fun day!  Congrats Brandie and Kurt, and happy birthday, Ashton!

Happy Birthday, Bailei!

Halloween weekend was fun this year! In part this is because I got to hand out candy to children (and even a couple of adults) trick-or-treating.  But, also, I got the fun job of being the photographer for Bailei's 13th birthday party!

It was nice to be the one at the party with two cameras hanging off my neck and an extra lens in my pocket for once!  It was a much better fit for me than trying to compete with the dancing!  Let me tell you, these girls could dance!

Now, I don't want to leave out the guys.  The guys had some awesome dance moves as well, but simply by numbers the girls were the dominating force on the dance floor!  An armful of party favors didn't stop this guy from cutting it up a little more before heading out!

The costumes were incredible . . .

. . . including Bailei's.  She looked soo cute!

The circus theme also worked very well!  It was unique and full of fun ideas.

This was such a great group of people to work with!  Thanks a bunch, Bailei and family, for letting me take part in your special day!  Happy birthday!
