Kiara & Brian :: Engaged!

Meet Kiara and Brian!  These two have been waiting since February to have a May engagement shoot!  And if you ask me, it was worth the wait.

I am crazy about Forest Park for photos.  I don't know what it is about this place, but I am always in love with the lighting and the colors when I go back and edit the photos!

Lola & Anthony :: Engaged!

Lola and I go back a bit.  Her and I met and became friends about 5 years ago.  I still remember the day I met her.  We were in college choir together, and it was our first day.  Everyone stood up, introduced him or herself, and finished the sentence, "I'm in choir because . . . ."  Lola, being the passionate advocate I've always known her to be, stood up and used the opportunity to share her interest in music therapy.  She said if anyone was interested, she would be trying to start a club on campus.  Well, music therapy was not a major at Missouri Southern, but it was my pursuit also!  A lot has changed since then, but just like that day, I feel like Lola and I have always had a special connection and something in common.

There have been so many times we've talked about rough relationships together and dreamed about our ideal man. It is so wonderful to see Lola find a man like Anthony!  Seeing the two of them together, I can tell how much his eyes light up because of her, and I'm in awe at how comfortable they are together!

 

 What a fun couple you guys make!  I'm so happy for the two of you, and I can't wait for your wedding!!

Jamaica Me Miss You!

As many of you know, April 22nd will go down in history in my heart!  This was the day Nick, the man of my dreams, and I said "I do" and got officially hitched!

As most couples do, we initiated the marriage by taking a week to relax on a tropical beach.  Our location of choice was beautiful Negril, Jamaica!

I of course brought along my camera, focusing on remembering the feeling of the place! I really wanted to spend time enjoying my honeymoon but get just a few pictures that would really bring me back when I looked at them.  We stayed at a resort with a gorgeous beach, on the sunset side of the island.

The resort was the best!  They had all kinds of extra little touches, including the creative towel art we found on our freshly made bed every day:

 

The last night ended with a romantic candle-lit dinner for two on the beach.  This was probably my favorite part of the whole trip.  We had a colorful sunset sky, delicious gourmet meals, romantic background music, and the best company I could ask for.

 

Talk about the perfect date . . . with the perfect man.
